AREA
INFORMATION
The 22-mile stretch of
oceanfront and oceanside land in Flagler County that borders St.
John's County to the north and Volusia County to the south is the
only property on the east coast of Florida that has not been fully
developed. It has been discovered, however, and there's a great deal
of interest and activity in the area. In recent years, Flagler
County has been the fastest-growing county in the United States.
This area has 22 miles of bicycle paths, scenic ocean views, and
several beautiful state and local parks. The highway alongside it,
Route A1A, has been designated a "scenic highway" by the federal
government.
The prestigious Hammock area, located along this route,
has
many beautiful gated communities and homes, including two
first-class oceanfront golf courses. One of the few coastal areas
not in a metropolis, there is no traffic congestion. However, the
historic and oldest city in America, St. Augustine, is only 20 miles
to the north, and popular Daytona Beach is 30 miles to the south. |
